Crank Lucas is a "DMV" area native has held his own in the world of music and comedic, but realistic skits for a few years now. He has climbed to over 1 million followers across YouTube and various social media platforms while releasing EP’s and content on a consistent basis. His skits are a variety of everyday topics, current events, popular culture, music and entertainment industry topics. Most are topics that you may think of, but no one will say or characters no one can quite portray. No topic is off the table and with his character choices you can tell he loves a challenge. He has a few recurring characters including "Uncle Junior" who is everybody favorite and most requested.
Leave it to Crank Lucas to put together a good beat, a good character, and some bars that tell a whole story. He has mastered portraying your favorite rappers sound and personality with his genius bars and delivery. One of his skits got the attention of Busta Rhymes and he gave Crank Lucas a shout out during an interview. The skit was one where Crank Lucas portrayed Busta Rhymes being an auctioneer. he had the fast "Busta Rhymes" flow, but the story he told made you feel like you were watching a live auction. When industry greats recognize your talent, you're more than halfway there.
When Crank Lucas hits the studio what many don't know is that he produces his own beats, writes his own material, creates the character he will portray, chooses the details and events, directs his own skits, engineers his own session, distributes his projects, consistently releases content, and handles the day-to-day business of it all.
He has everything that it takes to make it in today's changing music industry that requires an independent artist to have SUPER FANS. The execution and delivery he brings is definitely "not your typical" rapper vibe. He has always had a systematic plan and execution of dropping at least 2 EPs a year and constantly releasing content to keep you waiting for the next one like waiting for your favorite tv show.
Crank Lucas recently had an EP release party for his latest project titled “Stone Cold” at Cru Midtown in Atlanta hosted by Carrie of QT Entertainment and DJ Steve Stacks.
